Default Jet Hot coated header guys come in...

How does the coating hold up after a couple of years and do they keep the engine compartment from heating up too much...Thanks

well mine have been on for 2 years and look the same as when I installed them. No problems inside the engine bay that I have seen. Only issue i had was a wire that kept getting to close to the collector, a zip tie fixed that though lol.

I've had mine for nearly 4 years, and they still look good. They will collect surface rust but you can clean it off pretty easily.

mine were on my old 89 formula for 3 years before i sold it and looked as good as when i installed them. some wire sleeves helped to keep wires from burning up.

One last question..do you feel that your engine compartment heated up more than when you had the stock exhaust manifolds?
My concern is the added engine heat from long tubes going into late rounds in bracket racing...

I wouldn't worry. My car has JetHot coated/JetHot brand longtubes with coating mostly gone and nothing but high heat ceramic spray paint on them now, and car runs pretty much the same ET/MPH for as many as 23 passes in a day.

I want to say I've had mine for 5 years. They are rusting at the collectors.
