Default Not-too-low hanging headers needed...

I have an '02 Z28 w/ stock exhaust. I'm looking at headers but the car will be lowered 2" so I don't want anything that hangs lower than the stock exhaust. My current thinking is to go with shorty headers (eBay) and a Walker ORY that eliminates the cats and bolts right up. The headers & ORY will be about $350. I won't be racing the car, just want a good flowing setup for the street at a reasonable price. Would anyone suggest an alternative?

Thanks.

my car is lowered with sportline springs. I have qtp headers and they dont scrape. might be a little more than you are wanting to spend though.

Thanks guys. But I've read where most long tubes hang lower then stock, correct? I really want everything tucked. I looked at the SS link, and the MAC mid-length headers look like they might work. Anyone use them?

You might want to look into the new BBK's, I have heard good things about them.

get a set of mac headers and cut the collectors off, weld on 3 inch collectors and make a nice y pipe.

The nature of the short macs allow for a y pipe to be tucked up really close to the car.

I don't have a picture, but I agree.

I think these headers/y-pipe fit up tighter than stock did. That's with the catted-y too

ARH................if you can handle spending that much on them

I always wanted a set of them, but now i'm going turbo, so no need

ARH are some sweet headers...........the y-pipe is A+ quality

TSP's are higher than stock? I'll do some searching. I'd love to see a pic of the ARH. The Mac w/o flanges sounds like a good idea too. BBK is more in my price range. I found a thread with some pics a while back and I think theirs includes ORY. Thanks everyone for posting their thoughts!
