the opening into your intake manifold will need to be ported to let more air in. I believe the LS6 is 76mm, so it needs to be ported to make more power

What companies do this? Lingenfelter and TPIS?

Is it plastic welded?

OP

since the stock opening is 75mm....there is very little to be gained from putting a 90mm throttle body on.

unless the intake manifold is modified like TPIS does.

basically you're fine with a ported stock throttle body.

you don't actually increase the bore diameter of the TB. you remove the lip directly in front of the blade, and you smooth out the transition as air approaches the blade.

while some places machine the bore bigger, you then have to put a bigger blade in.
