Default ls6 intake on a 02z stripper

does this car have a ls6 intake or ls1, and i take the block is a ls1 block.

could have an LS6 block. but you have to run the numbers to find out.

LS6 block casting part # 1251168 should be located on driver side rear of the block... you can find it with a mirror and a flashlight.

very rarely, very few 02 models got the LS6 block

yes 01-02s came with the ls6 intake BUT if you just bough the car you might want to check the part number on ur intake and search for it on here to make sure that it was never swapped out.

ask me how I know..... my car is an 02 and it has a old ls1 intake not only that but also has the ls1 lines

Wow, thats kinda dirty. Did they have the EGR part capped on the front or was it a corvette LS1 intake without EGR, which would be even harder to notice unless you were looking at the part number.

yea they had the egr part capped on the front. when i first got the car i didnt know much about the intakes and I remember that slp made one with the egr.

i heard that a lot of times people would take their cars to the dealers and sometiems people would swap out ls6 intakes for the ls1's.

now i have to buy a ls6 intake and the lines for it which should be about $350 or so
