Default ft 85mm lid ?

my car is a 2002 and has a slp lid with no breather, the lid came with a rubber hose extender.

I will be installing a fast toys 85mm lid with a z06maf sensor.my question is what do i need to remove my air pump hose instead of installing a breather with my fast toys lid.

You would need to delete the emissions codes associated with the air pump. Since the air pump doesn't really cost you any power, it's usually easier to just use a little breather filter and stick inside the fender panel.

That's what I did. Picked up a little breather filter at the local autoparts store and jammed it on there with a zip-tie to hold it in place.

It's only worth it if you have enough mods done to your require where the motor requires additional flow over the stock sized MAF and lid.

We've seen .8 MPH on full bolt on, cam only cars and up to 1.2 MPH on heads and cam cars. These are quarter mile improvements.

there is no way in hell i would ever buy some as important as an MAF sensor off of ebay. especially when the reputable brands start at well over $150.

they are stock z06 delphi mafs, the same ones that come on the vettes. or you can go with a truck maf, which is 85mm. the only difference is you will have to get them tuned. the aftermarkets use the same ones, but stick a resistor in them to trick the computer into thinking its still a 75mm.

yep I got a stock delphi maf along with the 3 to 5 pin adapter both brand new off ebay for $75. so then its 225. which isn't bad I would have got this lid to if i would work with my supercharger, but I dont want to fabricate stuff to make the intake work.
