QTP Headers... What Y?
Hey guys I really like the QTP Headers, but I was curious if anyone has tried to use a TSP ORY on them. Does it fit? If not how much modification will it take?
Thanks,
Justin

Hmm... You're a sarcastic *** evidently. It's a well known fact that the QTP Y-pipe's don't fit all that well. I had a hell of a time trying to mate mine up with the QTP headers.... Not to mention, as the OP said, they are $$ especially for just being aluminized steel.
It's amazing that QTP actually makes both the headers and the Y... because it's like trying to mate up two different brands.
However, to the OP, I did end up getting mine to work and it fit quite well after hours and hours of tweaking. As Detoxx said, a custom job is your best bet. I would recommend investing in the Flowmaster merge though and just have a shop fab around that. It's probably the best Y merge for our cars.
Good luck with it.

I really like the idea of a custom, and I have seen pics of LS2Bait's and I love it. But I can't find an exhaust shop that will make me a ORY. The exhaust shop that advertises at our local drag strip told me that I would end up with 1 cat after the Y merge He had no idea. And said he would not do an off road setup, which I understand I mean technically it's be on him. I'll have to do some more searching around.
Thanks for all the input guys, and please keep it coming

I would get a custom one made. I have QTP's and their ORY. It fit well for me the only issue i have is with Ground clearance. I see guys running true duals that have better ground clearance than I do. They make a great ORY but could have done a better job with the clearance issue. I cant even fit a soda can under neath the Y. Mine too will be up for sale as soon as I get my True duals installed.

You know it would be much simpler to go ARH or Kooks, they both have good y-pipes. The pricing I have been quoted for a custom y-pipe has steered me in this direction. I must be getting ****-off pricing, as I have been quoted 900 bones for a custom stainless steel y-pipe. There are plenty of sponsors running great deals on ARH.
