Think I am about out of bolt-ons but would like to add some HP
Friday went 12.1@112 MPH and have a 9" 3.70 geared going in... may put me high 11's.
I wanted to go 11.5-11.6 so looking for possible power without doing heads, cam or Nitrous. Any suggestions? Other option is to lighten it without hacking? I was thinking about the short belt mod even though I have a 25% underdrive. Anyone know the belt size? Here is what I have:
-25% underdrive
- Long tubes
- 3700 Circle-D converter
- Suspension
- Ported stock TB
- Lid
- 1.85 Comp roller rockers
- Flowmaster 3" to 4" merge with cutout
- No Cats
I was thinking a FAST 92 and TB may get me that 20 HP I am looking for

how about an aluminum driveshaft, electric water pump, fast 92/92, 85mm lid/maf, and true duals? im pretty sure that all together would net you at least 20rwhp or so
theyre over $600 i believe for an ls1

also incorrect, all m6's have aluminum and all automatics that came factory with 3.23 are aluminum

EWP and the FAST would be the best way to make power
better suspension and lighter weight will get you faster
while it's not really a bolt on....and its pretty involved...you could pull your heads off and put a thinner gasket in there.
boost compression a little for more power.
even just a simple touch up on the heads...a mild p/p...would gain good power. and on a stock cam it won't affect reliability or driveability. and nobody would be the wiser

I'm still debating here. The heads/cam swap is a big job looking at it. So I am really really looking at doing the FAST 92/92 and seeing if I can get that 11.5 out of it. How long does it take to swap the intake/TB in place? I'm leaning towards that rather than the other route.

you aint gonna gain much hp.you already have the boltons.your gonna have to lose weight.this is a 100% street car so is mine but sometimes you have to sacrifice things to go fast in the 1/4.dont do the fast to much money and not worth it since you are just boltons.spend your 1,000 dollaz else where
you ran 12.1@112 with a 1.59'
to run a 11.7 you will have to trap around 116mph,or hook better.
this is what I would do
1.ftra or ssra
2.skinnnies
try to lose 200 lbs
list your weight reduction mods if any
