Default magnaflow install problem

For you guys who installed a magnaflow cb on your car, how fing hard was it to get the pipes perfectly straight and the same on both sides? Im having a tough time with this.

Hey man, yeah it was hard for me too, also on mine one side wants to sit a little higher than the other and damn near touches the bumper, I just kept loosening and re-torquing until it was almost perfect but yeah I had that problem too....it seems to me like the Borla kits fit exceptionally well but I love my Magnaflow.

yeah i had a hard time to, adjust the muffler and the driver tip to the right spot then you should be able the get the other one nice. just mess around with it.

yea a shop installed mine and they still aren't perfect i've had to adjust them several times already still cant get it perfect they are at the same height but the driver side stickes out about a half inch or an inch =\ dont know how to fix it.

impossible. Take it to an exhaust shop when you're ready and have them weld/cut it to fit

Oh, and don't bother contacting Mflow - I did, twice, no response yet, and it's been over a month.

yea i was thinking about bringing mine to a shop when i get my QTP long tubes and catted why and have them weld the tips to the muffler or somthing and adjust them cause i finally got it perfect other than the driver side sticking out a lil too much cant tell unless your right up on the car though

I just installed mine and it looks pretty good on the first go round. I guess I got pretty lucky...

The magnaflow comes with the driver pipe angled out towards the side of the car slightly. You will not get them both pointing perfectly straight back without modifying the tailpipes.
