Pretty general question. Well, most lots of people aspire to true duals via X-pipe.
Then there's those who have that setup who yearn once again for a Y-pipe setup.
So, buy a Hooker catback. Cheap and good.
I myself wish for an 3" X-pipe setup.

Duals sound the best and give best performance, but you lose ground clearance and have a difficult time getting over the axle. If you end them at the axle, it's illegal and you breath the exhaust. Most catbacks are too restrictive for a heavily modified engine due to having one small I pipe. Mufflex has a 4 inch catback, but not in stainless steel. The SLP Loud Mouth catback is a good system if you plan on staying with the stock exhaust manifolds and cats, and are making less than 400 rwhp. Borla makes a nice adjustable loudness catback, but it's expensive and still too restrictive for over 400 hp.

It really depends on what you want, if you want a nice refined deep rumble at idle and want it to scream at WOT GMMG is the one for you, if you want it to scream all the time go with the LM. Try doing a search, you will find numerous threads about this. Good luck man

I had the hooker cat-back system and i liked it and everything but its just not loud enough so i got the gmmg and its the best sounding catback i have ever heard it sounds awesome and if you put a pair of longtube headers and cats youll still have thats sweet deep sound but it will be alot louder

GMMG is not a traditional muffler style catback. It is a chambered catback.

My buddy has the best of both worlds on his C5. He has headers and ORPs and dual cutouts just before the IRS. He picked up 10 hp with the cutout open vs. running thru the full exhaust out the back. His car is dead quiet on the freeway, but when he opens the cutouts, watch out.
If I had it to do all over again, that's the way I'd do it without a doubt.

If youre just doing a cat-back, go with loudmouth. Cheapest and gives the best performance.
