Default Pacesetters, y-pipe, cutout and stock exhaust

This is the setup I would like to run. I currently have an electric cutout sitting on that Ipipe and would like to use it with the stock exhaust after putting in the pacesetter long tubes and ypipe. What I would like to know is if there is anything glaringly wrong with this setup. Any input, suggestions or ideas are extremely welcome.

I did the same thing, you'll be fine. If you are running an ORY it'll be realy loud with the cutout open, then sound all weak and feminine with it closed.

"Feminine." Thats ******' halarious. LOL

Anyways...thats a perfect sleeper setup. Stock, quiet exhaust until you decide you want to be loud. Good choice.

Any idea if it will be significantly louder than just running the open cutout with the stock manifolds?

hell yeah. Longtubes + ORY + cutout is extremely loud, the stock manifolds and cats aactually absorb quite a bit of sound. I actually ran with the stock y-pipe dumped for a while when i was in the process of starting the install and thats not loud compared to headers.

you may have, I'm not sure if i've seen your car, my memory has been shot lately. But if you ever remember seeing a really loud black camaro with a cowl hood in this area...it was mine, and it had the setup you are talking about. I wrecked in Pomfret in january though.

this is me now:

Wow, you really did that camaro in. Do you live in berry hills or laurel branch by any chance? I've seen a black camaro in both of those nieghborhoods and they look similar to the one in your picture.

Did you install your headers yourself or did you take it to a mechanic around here?

^Haha thats good news as thats mostly the point. The car runs a 13.2 1/4mile already so i'm hoping these headers will bring it down into the 12 second range, but the main goal is to make it sound better and make it considerably louder than with just this cut out on.

And spy, what kind of setup are you running on your new camaro
