Do they came with 2.73 gears or have 3.23 or 3.42.me my friend were debating on this question he said it comes with 2.73 I said is the same as the trans am ws6 has 3.42 a sport package it should be the same as da ss. Do anyone know about any answers or tips thanks in advance.

I'm not really an expert, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the SS came with 3.23's if you had the A4, and 3.42's if you had the M6.

ALL SS A4s came with 3.23s. All M6s came with 3.42s. Period. No other way around it. I believe at some point 3.73 was an option from SLP but not sure on the details of that.

A4 3.23, M6 3.42, SLP option 3.73.... 2.73's were on the 3rd gens....

ok thanks guys cuz its a A4 but i know camaro Z28 have 2.73 gears

Not all a4 Z28's have 2.73's. Steel driveshaft=2.73 aluminum DS=3.23 unless somebody changed it.....

Look on the door and see what code is there. If you have a Gu2 then you have 2.73's, GU5 is 3.23's, and GU6 is 3.42's

Fourth Gen A4 cars had 2.73's standard and 3.23's as a "performance axle ratio" option.
All fourth gen M6 cars are 3.42's stock.

All u gotta do i put a gear in it lol!!!
But yea steel ds=2.73, alumn is 3.23 inless they were changed.
Like it was stated, look at the door code.
