Default Air pump removal ?s.

I recently removed my air pump on my 2001 z28. Now I have a question for you guys. After the removal of the pump and the hoses I found that there was one small vacuum line that connects to a solenoid (i think) right next to the drivers side fuel rail. What is this and can I disconnect it? I have tuned out the air pump and the car is not trowing any codes since I unplugged it.

That's a small vacuum line. I would recommend plugging it up.

I unplugged the solenoid from the wire harness. Should I plug it back and plug the small hose or can I just take the whole thing off?

I don't have that, the 98-99 cars don't have that little line, but I hear you can just plug up the little hose with it still on the intake.

ok so i have a 2000 and on the driver side of the intake behind the EVAP there is another solenoid that has a vacume line coming from the back of the intake to the solenoid. then one comming from the solenoid to a check valve lookning thing for the air system. can we just plug up the back of the intake and ditch the hoses lines solenoids and unplug the wiring from it to clean up the intake?

sorry for the messy discription lol

Pull ALL OF THE AIR STUFF.
Both the hoses go to what looks like a noid.
Rip that noid out.
There is a vacuum line that connects to it, it's a 90* elbow, and is very short.
Plug that.
Then tuck it away.

I have an 02. Pulled all the air **** out and just used the screw that holds the bracket in and blocked the elbow.
No problems.

That's the idea. As long as it's a snug fit, it'll hold.
