Default True duals or not to duals???

Would MY heads, and cam set-up benefit from true duals? I don't have a large cam tr224 on 112, the heads are 5.3's stage II with my compression up to about 11:3. I'm worried low end will take a ???? What do you true dual guys think?? anyinsight?? Right now it's going through two bullets welded into the Y, and out an open borla.

do you have headers yet?
I would definitely recommend headers before any duals, if you already have heads/cam

I got true duals with long tubes and it seemed to pick up a bit of power at the track over my y pipe with catback setup. The loud noise of the true duals started to wear on my ears after a while daily driving, though.

I picked up about 1 mph in the 1/4 and .1 ET. This was on my heads/cam A4 car. I went from MAC headers with off road y pipe and catback to true duals with turndowns before the axle.

If you dont have rasp I would stick with the y pipe setup. If you do have alot of rasp the duals will make it sound alot better.

I have true duals all the way out the back and I noticed a big diff in SOTP power. However I did go from a custom 3in y-pipe and flowbastard muffler. THe flowmaster was a pos tho. Oh ya I'm running Dynomax Bullet's now. Sounds AWESOME!!!

I think duals are overkill.. I like my 4" Mufflex system.

I have duals and they are not loud . I have regular dynomax super turbos not the bullet mufflers alot of guys use. I gained 1.5 tenths in the 1/4 over my cutout. That was with my little TR220 cam . I have a pretty bigger cam now so IT has a bit of a chop to it.

exhaust sample

Btw that sample is directly behind the car. When you are on the side of the car or near the front it is much quieter.

I felt like I regained a little low/midrange over my Longtube/LM setup. No dyno proof, but the butt dyno. The sound is amazing also.

maybe a cutout after the Y would help. It just seems that the work to make it true duals may not be worth it.
HHmmm anyone else? I'm wondering if only the heavy breathers (big cams & strokers) would really benefit?
