Default trying to build a stealth exhaust...help plz

im building a custom turbo kit for my turbo'd ls1 rx7. but i would like to keep it as quiet as possible while flowing as best as possible...also with no cats. after the turbo (which meets right after the headers) it will be a single 3" exhaust out the back.

anyway to do this with out choking out the exhaust flow? something "stock" sounding

thanks!

Put some sort of oem muffler on there and get a cut out for when you really need to lay down the hurt. It's not like the car will be slow even with a stock muffler.

X2
get a OEM style muffler or Summit racing equal, and a QTP E-cutout for the W

It should be pretty easy to make a turbo car quiet. I think as others mentioned, an OEM style muffler would be your best bet. With a turbo, and a stockish muffler it shouldn't be any louder than stock cars.

I would agree that a cut out might be a good idea to look into. You would pick up a lot of HP on a turbo car with a cut out.

If you could somehow make a C5 ZO6 muffler work underneath that car that would be your best bet. The Ti muffler flows great and it's a stock muffler so it'll be quiet. They flow so well that putting an after market cat-back on a C5 Z is really just for sound

Electric cut-out with factory rear exhaust sound like your best bet!
Unless of course you have room for a really long (for more sound absorption) oval muffler under the car somewhere.
