Default ls1-->ls6 intake?

Im about to purchase a 00-Z28, and was thinking of buying an ls6 intake for it. My question is, should I be able to actually feel the diffrence by swaping intakes? Its a 6speed/full exhaust/cam.

I've heard that there is a "SOTP" gain, but couldn't tell you for sure. I'm swapping mine for an LS6 too, but also adding heads and getting a dyno tune. So I think I might feel a difference

I just recently got my ls6 intake, I have a 2000 WS6 A4 with full exaust long tube headers off road y pipe and corsa. To tell you the truth I only felt a real gain on the high end but it pulls alot harder to redline. Just normal driving I can't tell

Yeah you are gonna feel that cam breathing better most likely above 4K. It should pull stronger on the top end, bottom end will likely be unchanged.

i have mods in sig with an ls1 intake and EGR delete. made @ 375 to the wheels with that little old 224r. an ls6 intake might be slightly better. but as of now i can't see spending the money on one. not till i do heads at least.

I'd say its worth it. I noticed a difference on the butt dyno. My car was stock when I installed it though

When you change the cam later you'll want that LS6 intake and reap more reward from it then.

Honestly, the more you have done, the more the ls6 intake will outperform the ls1. For reference, i was at heads/cam with an ls1 intake, car maxed at 423. swapped to ls6 and upgraded injectors, car made 452. It's a worthwhile mod for the price you're paying.

about that much, i gained 8hp from doing the ls6 intake and 85mm TB from a stock intake/tb. went from 349hp lid/lt/e/tune to 357 lid/lt/e/85mm tb/ls6 intake. numbers didnt impress me, but the performance really got me!

Just out of curiosity what heads and cam do you have?

With your mods I would expect 15-20Rwhp gain..

I am full weight and shooting for 7.1s @ 94mph next track visit.. 228 cam ported/milled 5.3s kooks LT/ory...

Only dyno 375Rwhp but the performance speaks for itself.. ls6 will take you quite a little ways, especially for the money.

The FAST intake setup doesn't start REALLY showing major gains until after 5800 RPMs over the ls6 intake anyways.

Maybe, maybe not... Kind of hard to compete with a stalled A4 in the 1/8, don't see too many M6s cutting 1.4X 60'.

Wow aint that the truth, auto will dominate the 1/8 with similiar mods. However it usually isnt too great on the big end win some lose some
