Cross flow muffler versus straight thru?

Default Cross flow muffler versus straight thru?

I am running a magnaflow cross flow right know just curious if a single in and out muffler would flow better?I like the sound of the magnaflow.Something like this www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/14219/10002/-1

i have the dynomax race muffler 3'' in 3'' out. very streetable, much quieter than my old flowmaster setup. but screams at WOT

The straight thru mufflers are the best flowing with the least backpressure,,the only downside is that the noise tends to be much louder,,,However,,Who dont love that rumble??? I can tell you my rumbler system from tsp has actually scared people on the highway, mainly when downshifting.

yea i still have my longtubes offroad y and SLP LM, soon to switch the resonator with a dynomax bullet. but i have made kids cry at the mall, in the parking lot. i know it is kinda mean but it is quite funny. still to loud for more then 30 min trips on the freeway

Also how much power you get out of the 243 heads unported?I got me a set I am fixing to put on.I have a 98 so I know it will be night and day over my heads.

15+rwhp untouched. You can double that with a competition VJ and a quality bowl blend.....

Thanx for the info on the heads.I believe I will come out cheaper if I just buy some already ported assembled heads.Time I spend all the money to get these heads done.

with the heads and cam i went from 339/327 to 383/372 with the stall locked on the dyno.
