Best Intake/TB for this H/C Ls1?
98 vette
LS 1 stock cubes
prc 2.5 ls6 heads
228r 114lsa cam
all the supporting mods (headers, pulley, 3.90 gears, injectors, etc)
I currently have an LS6 intake and BBK tb. Should I do Ported fast 90/92? 102 stock or ported? TB size? I'm guessing a ported 102 is overkill?

If you are looking for more power, the FAST 102mm is probably your best bet if you are looking to purchase something new. A FAST 92mm intake/tb would be a good choice too if you can find one. I wouldn't spend your money on anything less than one of these intakes. Others IMO aren't worth the money over a LS6 intake.

many people have gotten away with a fast 102 intake and a nw 92 mm tb..however fast says that the 102/102 combo is not overkill..either of these setups would out perform the ls6 though hands down.

Hey Jon@texas-Speed,
While I know that ls2 fuel rails are needed with the newer 102mm intakes, and shorter valley cover bolts as well, is anything else is needed? Are most aftermarket TB's that will work w/ the FAST's the stock drive-by-cable design? Would they need new sensors or would the stock LS1 tb sensors be a direct swap?
Thanks

You need the shorter valley cover bolts, the correct throttle body bolts, the correct fuel rail hold down bolts. The GM ones can be too long and damage the intake.
The stock IAC and TPS "should" transfer over to most aftermarket TBs. I know they do on the FAST TBs, my brother just got one.

question here is to ask ur self .... is 10-30hp + extra tuning required worth the money ?? ... know it's gonna cost u a minimum of 800$ <-(consider yourself lucky) .... OVERALL .... UR RUNNING A STOCK 346 .... spend the cash on a larger ci motor .... IMO ONLY

yeah money towards a new engine with more cubes would be ideal...but think about his combo now (even with the fast) and when it comes to get a new engine...all he would need is the shortblock...say a 370 or something...and he already has h/c/i that would be killer...im kind of planning the same thing now...
but im with a few people here...a used 90 or 92 is about the same price as a new 102/102...but its the other things that go with it..the tune..(possibly go sd or a bigger maf) and the lid...
ive also seen good results posted here about a 346 ls1 with a 102/92, picked up 8-9hp with intake change ONLY!
