Summit Underdrive Pulley
I've been reading up on underdrives pulleys as it will complete my hp bolts ons for now. The powerbond looks to be the best bang for the buck but Ive seen a couple people with these plus they have a nice finish from the start anyone have anything to say about these things? good, bad?

Only seeing two listed on the Summit site for LS1 engines. One is the SLP, which is just a rebadged Powerbond, and the other is the ASP one.
SDPC is selling the Powerbond with both belts and a new crank bolt for $200...hard to beat that sort of deal, especially when belts alone are about $35.

readd your rollmaster thread... to my knowledge isnt the powerbond also a harmonic balancer? I mean it has to be for the crank vibrations and it surely has to be better than the hunk of iron gm bolted up. No doubt the ati is a much better product but it is expensive, could it be the road racing that did the chain in on your car even if you still had the stock pulley?

As expensive as they are i'm sure these are what we all really should be using.
Yes i also believe my road racing did my chain in through bad harmonics

Yes Powerbond is, it's a 25% underdrive compared to ATI at 10%. Kurt Urban has suggested that i use the standed 3 ring, he has had major input in the ATI pulleys due to his involvment with the Cola Cup Vette Cars.

ATI dampers/pulleys have proven to be worth HP as well. The damper on the GM crate 572bbc was switched to one in development and picked up around 12hp.

This pulley seems to be less recognized as we all bypass for maybe the cheaper options, it's not till something like a broken chain happens that we find out the ATI is a must have.
