Default Larger MAF to go with a 98mm Fast Toys Lid

SLP has a 85mm MAF...will this work with the Fast Toys 98mm lid? I heard the the ZO6 MAF from 2001-up is the same 85mm...is that right?

I work at a GM dealership and I can get the ZO6 MAF cheaper then the SLP 85mm MAF but I need to know if it'll work.

I'm thinking about getting the Fast Toys 98mm lid but I don't see much point if I retain the stock MAF.

That is exactly what i need to know. I purchased the Fast Toys 98mm lid already for my Z28 and damn, the air lid opening is way to big for my stock MAF sensor. I have to put a elastic band over the stock MAF to somewhat seal onto the Fast Toys 98mm lid. I really need to order me a different
MAF so it will fit and snug in correctly with the 98mm lid. Can anyone help with this Problem- Please

I am wondering this same exact thing actually.. I have the FTP 98mm clear air lid and I'm trying to decide whether to get the 85mm Truck maf or the TSP 100mm maf.

Monguse, can you do me a favor... if you have any of the 85mm mafs laying around at ur dealer, measure both the inlet and outlet in inches please, if u don't have any, thanks anyways, maybe somebody who already has one can measure for me.

Ok, I email Fast Toys and heres their reply:

For a stock type car, go with the 98mm lid. If you buy a LS6 MAF at your dealership, you can just slide the MAF right into the lid. You will need a MAF adapter harness which is 30.95. You also would need to get a computer tune to work with the new MAF.

You can also use your STOCK MAF with the lid if you buy our MAF adapater gasket for 8.00. Then down the road, you can remove the gasket if you upgrade to an 85mm MAF.

The GM "85mm" MAF you need is GM part #25168491. I just picked mine up from eBay...was about $35 shipped . You will also need a tune for the larger MAF and the Caspers adapter...I believe the part number for the adapter is 108100.

If you want a 100mm MAF are there any other choices other than TSP and Lingenfelter? Like a 100mm MAF that's used in a stock vehicle such as the 85mm ones you can find on ebay...

Are there MAFs any bigger than 100mm? Can you port a MAF?

yeah that was me. as you can see by my feedback, i am a big scam artist. i have sold a complete engine on this website, lol. you think i am scamming with a maf? get real dude.

how about this, don't send the money you said you would send but haven't yet, and i will sell the maf to someone else. i am sorry my life consists of a bit more than selling my maf and 50 dollars is apparently a much smaller difference to me than to you, and that is fine. but the maf is no longer available to you. thanks.

According to Fast Toys...you should be set to go. You only need the adapter gasket if your trying to use the stock MAF with the 98mm lid.

Yea well if he can't remember his initial asking price a day later then I suggest he looks up his threads from now on before replying to PM's. I PM'ed him asking about it because "most" times when I PM people they tell me a slightly lower price then they have listed on the thread. Exact opposite for this dude tho. Didn't bother me none though, I got one almost brand new for $122 less than his asking price....
