Keep the stock LS1 coolant lines. Everyone jumped on the block off bandwagon including myself. When I go back in with a LS6 intake I'm removing the block offs & gonna chisel the bottom the the LS6 to clear. I'm at the opinion now that its best to leave the coolant lines in the back of the heads hooked up. There has been much discussion about this over the years & I'm goin back to stock configuration.
By the way, your MPH is good enough for at least a 12.9 pass. I ran the time in my sig before my H/C set-up on street tires & no tune. If you can get that 60' down & get a clean pass your in the 12's already.
Me personally I'd get the intake & wait for the tune. Otherwise after a few more mods your tune will need to be altered again. I'd wait till at the point of having to have it tune.

Don't waste $50 on buying the lines. Like said above, just chisel. It's not "ghetto", it's standard procedure for upgrading to an LS6 intake.
I say LS6 intake and then mail order tune from Frost for $125. No need for a $500 dyno tune for some simple bolt ons.
And if your 60ft is 2.5 go down to your local pick and pull, grab a pair of 4th gen wheels for $80 and then order a pair of Mickey Thomsons or Hoosier 255 DR's for $400.

Do yourself a huge favor and get a new driveshaft before you go back to the track. My buddy put in that same clutch and has broken 2 stock shafts now.
First at the strip at launch (street tires) and once on a 1-2 shift on the street (on street tires).
If your running 2.5 60 ft times you don't need to bother with an intake or tune until you get some tires. If you can't get at least a 1.9-2.1 out of it you're pissing into the wind buddy.

Agreed with some of the above; your trap speed is good for a 12.7-12.9 (with a 1.8-2.0 60'). I'd go with an LS6 intake and then the tune if you're not putting a cam in any time soon. If you have a cam planned in the near-future, wait until then to tune it. My car ran a 12.9 @109 with a 2.09 60' with just Pacesetter LT's, ORY, GMMG, and an LS6 intake with no tune. I hope to get it to around a 12.6 with drag radials and 12.3 with an u/d pulley and a FTRA kit. Good luck OP.

If you got some decent tires you should be in the 12's as stated.
I ran 13.38 at 106 with a 2.0 60ft in an a4 car.
Your launch is worse than I have ever had even on the crappy cooper street tires it came with when i got it, that being said I would most likely say your spinning pretty good since I dont have a stall and I do not footbrake my car.
I think my worse was a high 2.2 or lower 2.3 60 ft

To answer the main topic, youd be better off with an LS6, since you don't want to be paying for retunes all the time.
He doesn't need DRs to hit 12s, street tires will be fine. Check my above post.
