Default meziere street pump question

i put my new billet meziere ewp on a week or two ago. Last night at the track I noticed it had slung out some grease from the pulley. Is this normal for the first few miles? I have an FI car and I do not turn a lot of RPMs.

It wasn't normal for me. I have 40K on mine. Never saw any grease... ever.

Are you sure it's not from one of the idler pulleys?

Yep... I double checked. It is on the inside of the pump pulley. It is greenish.

I didn't have any grease come out of mine that I noticed, but they may have just packed a little more grease in yours. They have great customer support...just give 'em a call and ask.

I agree about calling Meziere. I never saw any grease come out of mine either.

Thanks guys, I will call them Monday. I have used their products before and have never had any issues. I agree, I bet there was a little extra left in the pulley.

P.S. the pump looks and works great. well worth what I paid for it.

Got some ghosts in your pump, do ya??

But seriously, I haven't seen that either. Helped my buddy with his Meziere EWP install and it was bone dry.

I've wiped a little grease from the front of the pump's idler a few times FWIW.

I talked to Meziere today. They said that it may have been some thread sealer. They also said not to worry about it unless the pulley is getting hot or making noise. I am going to pull the belt off and on for the next several miles and check things out.
