Default LPP Y pipe

Wanting some information from LPP ORY pipe owners about the merge on them. It is different than other y setups, I am wondering how it compares as far as getting rid of rasp.

The fitment is great, but as far as the merge itself..just like every other ORY w/o a flowmaster type merge

My brothers LPP y pipe hanges super low on the drivers side. As far as the merge, never looked at it. Lets just say I have a pacesetter y-pipe, no cats, xr1 muffler in a LM catback and he has LPP y-pipe, cat in the I-pipe and GMMG catback through CME and his is raspier than mine is. Idk if that is variation in muffler or y-pipe. Just throwing it out there.

I had a tsp oryo with hooker catback that was raspy at patr throttle. I bought a "Jones" brand x pipe and y pipe and used them both to get rid of 100% of the rasp the system had. I cut off the y merge on the tsp and installed the x pipe with the new y pipe directly behind that and then just cut off how much was needed to fit the catback back on it and it sounds great. BTW the x pipe and y pipe are both stamped stype parts just like the magnaflow pieces but alot more compact in size, but still 3" inlet and outlet sizes. This is the only way to totally get rid of rasp with lt's and no cats that I know of. Hope this helps someone.

There was a seller on ebay that sold an identical stainless y-pipe for $89 for the LS1. Doesn't look like it's on there anymore but they looked like the same exact piece. Looks like LPP just marks up their product more than the others.

the tsp pipe has a good merge in it but had some small fitment issues on my car. It was still raspy with a hooker cb.

When LPP released their new y-pipe, everyone on here was talking it up. Why the change now? I bought it only because of all the recommendations.

I don't mind rasp. All I really care about is the performance and if I like the sound.

The LPP ory that I received about 2 months ago was absolute crap. The merge wasn't done right at all. When I take it off I will take pictures of the merge.
