Default Tranny Mount

So just swapped out my tranny mount on my 98 TA, took it out for a test drive and everything feels great. However when I punch it I feel this vibration coming from the rear. My question is this normal for poly mounts? Or is it something else that needs to be fixed?

I have a poly mount and i get a vibration every now and then because my y pipe sits a little high and bangs on the floorboard, that problem will be fixed when it gets a little warmer outside

I just did my trans poly mount, my TA poly bushing and my muffler. I am getting this vibration as well especially at higher rpm's. Trying to figure out how bad the vibration is supposed to be.

Most mounts I have seen that were poly are a little bit taller than the stock one. This puts the driveline angle off and causes the vibration. Does it get worse at wot? If so thats the problem. I have heard someone makes the poly ones that are now the same height but dont know who they are.

Would this cause any other issues except the vibration. I don't even think they can be groud down. Would have ES caught on to this by now?

Vibrations from a poly trans mount go away after some mileage. Keep the poly on!

Prothane is factory size, I've had a couple on some cars. Seriously though, people give up too early on the poly mounts, after some mileage they soften up and the vibes completely go away. Definitely worth the mod because it holds the trans in freakin place.

I believe what your sayin, I just wanted my car to drive right and thats why I went back factory. I did measure the energy one vs the new factory one and its 3/16 in taller without the factory one compressed by the trans. When my factory one goes I will try the prothane one since there motor mounts are on my car and work great.

Easy solution, remove preload plate and grind/cut the preload bump down flat(ES trans mount), problem solved.
FYI, that's how I run my ES trans mount.

i have prothane. It hasnt softened up since the 4 years 30k miles since i installed it... Maybe people get used to it but not me... I bought prothane because it was SUPPOSED to be the softest of the urethane mounts. HA. now that i have my relocation cross memeber im going back to rubber mount! tired of the vibes.
