Default need a little help..

so im bout to start doing some little mods to my engine and was needing some opinions on the best lid and set of headers for your money, i have a stock lid and headers and was just wanting to upgrade a little for some more hp's but cant spend a crazy amount of money.... i know the SLP lid is around $90 and i found some hooker performance headers for like $160 but im new to all this and needed some opinions... thanks guys

Best headers are either American Racing or Kooks. They are both expensive.

Look into the LPP stainless headers, they are cheaper.

If you want the headers to last, go stainless imo. Any lid should do the trick.

are they LT's? and if so, will i need a new y-pipe?

yes they are long tubes, and you need a new y pipe also.

the after market y-pipe offers good gains in power, so you should do it all at once.

Yes those are longtubes , any set of lts will need a new Y pipe as well because the cats come right off the stock manifolds. If you have an 01-02 car your manifolds flow pretty well. If your car is a lower year they are a bit more restrictive. If you were to go with shorty headers many would advise against it as you will see minimal gains. for the money you put out you might want to go with pacesetters They are cheap if you are on a budget. My self I am saving you for american racing headers . You are gonna get what you pay for. Hope this helped

i was looking at the pacestters but couldnt find any long tubes..? any help with that? and im definitely getting long tubes for the most gain and will get the y-pipe all at the same time.. what is the better of the 2 between LPP and Pacestter? any ideas what the gains will be?
