Almost everyone with an aftermarket manifold is running some variation of the FAST intake.

If you're running a wide overlap cam, you can run a Vic Jr. FWIH, they're not good for smaller cams with smaller overlaps.

If it's a mile to medium cam, a Fast intake should fit the build nicely. There really is no "best," inly what will work with your setup.

^ Yeah. I'd hate to sound like a FAST 102 leg humper, but that would prolly fit your 408 quite nicely. I was planning the a 408 build and keeping my 102 with cathedral heads.

ok if someone could clear this up for me that would be great,I was told by a few people that the vic jr, would be great for my setup,ms4 stage 1 243s,others told me to stay away from it,the info that I got that I would lose torque and low end,and only gain a lil bit up top,as where a fast intake i would not take a loss anywhere and gain across the rpm range, figure this is a good question for this thread,I don't know much about other intakes outside the fast and ls6,but the vic jr looks bad ***,that's about all I know about it,this is on a ls1 by the way

Generally speaking this is usually true as the Vic Jr is meant for a setup that makes more power up top. However, there are a couple things to keep in mind based on what I have seen.

#1 Elbow fitment. 90 degree low pro elbows hurt flow a good deal. You will need at least an SS hood maybe even a bigger cowl style hood to fir a full size 90 degree elbow.

#2 Make sure you port the intake to match the heads, they are in dire need of it in most cases.

On the plus side, they are usually more likely to survive a nitrous backfire. They also look pretty mean.

Are you an A4 or M6? Stall/Gear info?

M6,4.10s,I have a 3 inch ss hood,so I don't think clearance would be an issue, car also will be on a 100,150 shot.it does look sick though

I say go Vic Jr. based on all that information with the mods you had previously listed.
