Default Ground clearance with TSP catted Y-pipe

I installed my TSP catted Y-pipe yesterday. It looks like the driver side cat was very close to the fuel and brake line. There's not much ground clearance leave me about 2-3" only. I also ran into a problem, the Y-pipe doesn't line up with the rest of the exhaust. The Y-pipe pointing a little downward to the ground. The shop has to make an ugly pipe to connect the two. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

Did anyone of you guys run into any problem when installing the TSP catted Y-pipe? Can you guys post some under side and side way pics? Thanx

Tagged for information because I am planning on using the same y pipe. What brand headers are you using?

I have one of TSP's catted y pipes on my car and I like it so far. It fit well with my old style Hooker LT's and my Corsa cat back. The only issue I had was because my car was lowered on Eibach's. Not TSP's fault but I did bottom out on the cats a few times and they broke. So I bought some replacement cats on ebay for about $50 each and had them welded in.

Are there other brands that have the same characteristics of TSP that aren't so damn low?

I've Pacesetter LT and Magnflow muffler and stock over axle pipe. The sound don't have much difference compare to my 3" ORY.

I was under the car the whole time when the welder put in the Y-pipe. The clearance problem is the driver side cat too close to the ground. However there's no better place to put the cat other than where TSP put in. The piping is 3", meaning the cat is like 4" OD. The other concern is the cat intersect with the fuel and brake line and they're very close. The welder and me play around a couple times to line up both side perfectly, then the outlet to the exhaust don't line up.

VegasWS6 can you take a pic from the side looking under and let me see how yours line up to the exhaust. Did your driver side cat intersect the fuel and brake line? I wanna show the shop how they line up and have them redo it again.

I have the TSP-Y, catted,, Fit pretty good,, my car is not lowered and I have never dragged anywhere.... Everything didnt line up "perfect" but nothing serious,,I just clamped everything up and drove to a exhaust shop and had them weld/adjust to fit even better...cost me like $60,,but well worth it..

Me and 2 welders all under the car trying to figure out which is the best way to fit. There's not mistake the shield on the cat facing up so I don't think we did it wrong. However, since those are slip-in male to female pipe, we just push everything all the way in.

VegasWS6, driver side please. That's the most problem area.

Default TSP Catted Y

I have Hooker Ceramic LTs and the TSP catted y-pipe. Fitment was pretty good but ive gotta be careful at speed bumps and street level changes as they WILL rub. Stock height car.
