Default Which setup would be louder? ORY/Flow 10 or catted Y

I am really diggin the sound of the Flowmaster 10 muffler and am thinking about getting one....which would be louder with these two setups (Both setups will merge into a 3" cull back setup)?

LTs/ORY/3" dynomax bullet and a flowmaster 10 (single flowmaster 10, as my exhaust is just dumped to hide it)

OR

LTs/Catted Y/3" dynomax bullet.

I already have the bullet on the car and am just going to leave it, sounds nice and a bit deeper than my LM2. The debate is to add cats or a flowmaster 10 (which sounds plain awesome and gives the car some character) with LTs.

The off road pipes will be louder but they dont sound nearly as good as a catted setup imo.

Think the cats would be that much quieter than the single chamber muff? That dynomax bullet really doesnt do much (not that a LM2 or LM1 ever did).

I guess the question is what holds back more sound the cats or the muffler. Both would be pretty loud but I think the ory setup would be louder and more raspy.

I almost feel like the single muffler would hold the flow back a bit more, high flow cats are amazing these days....but that Flowmaster sound is awesome, you have to admit.

Not sure because my setup with high flow cats is way more quiet than with an ory. Seems like the cats hold back alot.

I would tend to agree that the ORY setup will be louder and more raspy. In comparison, my LT's/ORY/Borla vs. my friends LT's/Catted Y/Borla. Mine is louder (he runs a 408 and bigger cam to my 383) and more raspy especially in the 2000-2200 rpm range.

Anyone run a catted or un catted flow 10 setup?

No matter what that dynomax bullet is staying in and really provides zero restriction..

I'm running TD's so my sound is a "little" different but I was happy with my cats and 10 series for a long time. Now though, I'm really starting to get sick of the drone I get between 1900 and 2200 rpm. You wouldn't think a drone for a measly 300 rpm's would bother anyone but thats right at about 70 mph for me and I apparently spend alot of time there.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the sound of my set up! Just not those evil 300 rpm's while cruising.

To answer your question: I think the cat and dynomax will be louder but raspier.
