Used fast 78mm intake manifold good deal?
I found a used intake manifold for $400 and the guy said he would put it on for me.
Is this a good deal? I'm not looking for going more than heads and cam, so I don't think i'll need any bigger than 78mm. Just need to get a price reference. Can't find any on ebay or in the classifieds

you can carefully tap the stock coolant lines down to fit the fast intake.you will need the low profile button head bolts for the valley cover plate.use your stock ls1 intake bolts,I hear they don't loosen up .

you will need a new coolant pipe and two block off plugs for the rear, also will have to either drill out the manifold for your EGR or just take it out completly i didnt like the idea of drilling out my 102 i just installed so i bought headers and deleted my EGR and AIR pump also like the idea of adding a catch can for my pcv to reduce oil into the manifold.

you can retain your stock ls1 coolant tubes.just use a plastic hammer and a piece of pine wood to tap down the coolant tubes.you want them laying flush on top of the valley cover plate.you need the button head bolts!

Is there a recent thread for this swap. I can't find a.y with pictures.
Also I don't plan on using EGR or AIR after the intake manifold swap because we'll be doing headers at the same time

I thought I saw a 90 on here the other day going a little above that price. Not really sure because I'm not in the market for one, so I wasn't paying complete attention to it just noticed the price and thought it was pretty low.

The fast in the looks department are def cooler . My opinion is get the fast and get it ported by some of the dealers on here and get better gains . Ls6 typical gains are max 15 hp low 13hp but ported should get north of 18 . Worth it in my opinion .
