Will this Header to exhaust set up rasp???
I ordered Coated Pacesetter LT headers with Pacesetter ORY, they're on the way, also oredered Dynomax Ultra Flo exhaust part #19418, like loud mouth and rumbler, That one havent ship yet and i can always cancel it if i change my mind before it gets shipped. Do you guys suggest other exhaust for around that price???, my budget is $280 thats the same price of the Dynomax that I ordered. What do you think?

I had a Corsa catback when I ordered my Kooks LTs & Kooks ory. Then I started hearing on this site about rasp with that combo.
Maryland Speed was good enough to take back the ORY and replace it with Kooks high flow catted Y.
There is no significant power loss with Highflow cats.
That's my experience. I can't speak for the Dynomax.
btw, once I cammed the motor, the Corsa was too loud. I now have a Magnaflow.

Friends car has Pacesetter LT's ORY and loudmouth and the car sounded OK bolt-on only, still raspy and sounded like complete *** after the 230+ cam with a 112LSA was installed
On the other hand I'm running Kooks LT's, Kooks Catted Y and Hooker Aerochamber and even with the TRex+Heads my car is nice and tame with a nice deep sound when on the throttle, no rasp at all.
Just out of curiosity, judging by your sig you don't really specify weather you have a cam installed or is it on the way, if you do what cam is it. It def make a huge difference in how the car will sound

It basically comes down to the cam... If you're stock the car wont be too raspy but with an ory your going to have a some rasp if you have a high flow muffler/resonator like slp lm1 or borla wide open. Ive heard magnaflow tame it while still screams a wot

i have had a few exhaust setups on my car, and honest imo you want no rasp go with a dual setup, running cats will help cut down on it but i just feel the y pipe is the issue , i have had flowmaster merges etc, even a custom y , even with a magnaflow rasp was there, not that i hate rasp i think a lil sounds good, by far i will say after running duals a y pipe will never ever be on my car again, and im not the only one who feels this way lol,

my fav catback was the magnaflow, but honest that wasnt all that great, its just the way these cars are setup, it doesnt matter what setup a mustang has it will always sound badass, because the way the exhaust is setup, not only that with duals i felt a gain in performance, now this is on a cammed car but mine picked up a good bit over a ory and magnaflow, just felt way stronger all the way through the powerband

@Ronny 02 WS6, Did you modify the stock heads with springs, stands and pushrods only. Why?
#13
The car is 90K, Long story short, the car is not running right now because I wanted to upgrade the pushrods (chromemoly) and when I was taking the rockers out, the last one on the left side, (deepest one) the bolt stripped so it was really hard to take it off, so I decided to pull the heads off, since the car was already apart and got me some Patriot dual springs from my neighbor $200 new cause he got patriot heads assembled already so he didn't needed them anymore, and Im getting a 224/230 custom cam, not too big for stock heads since theyre in good shape, maybe get them ported, Im in budget. Hopefully you understand now plus Im gonna update mi sig for that.

race cars shouldnt have cats , its not the ls1 that has rasp its 2 pipes slamming into one, my duals have no rasp none whatsoever, drone yes, op if you heard a good dual setup in person there is no way you would think of doing a y pipe setup,i like the kooks system yes it cost alot, but go to a good exhaust shop and get a quote for a dual system over the axle with tips and mufflers, its not going to be that far off from the kooks price, and the kooks system is all polished stainless,

LTs, ORY, and the dynomax system (all which I own and can speak on, behalf of personal experience) will rasp. I love it, very loud and race-car soundish. Quick muffler swap (flowmaster 10 or my Hooker maxflow) and I have whatever sound I want.
I personally DD it with the exhaust dumped at the axle and love it.
