Want to purchase the 4" Mufflex kit or the Hawk kit
Anyone have the 4" mufflex kit or the 4" hawks 3rd gen kit? I am interested in both.
They are each 4" and under $600. The hawk has no muffler (probably add a big borla muff) and the Mufflex comes with either a; Spintech (big heavy, deep sound), Flowmaster or Magnaflow.
Anyone have any insight to these mufflers? Which flows the best? I am thinking Magnaflow may be the quitiest and the freest flowing. I am also leaning towards the Hawks system because there is no muffler and the louder, the better.
Any input on these systems? Did you NEEED to buy the Panhard relocation bar?

I had the muffled with the magnaflow on my z28. I loved it. Very good sound. It wasn't crazy loud until I put lt's and an ory on the car. That really woke it up and made it sound incredible. If loud is what you're looking for the 4" sinister kit will do it, but I think it'll be way too loud. Also the magnaflow is the most expensive, but it is also stainless which is nice. As far as fitment, it fit great with no modifications needed.

Good info, thanks man. I was leaning towards the 4" Magnaflow system, maybe with a cutout...the sinister kit would have to put a muffler on it.
Winter mods may be a 4" flowmerge and this catback.
Anyone else? Obviously the spintech sounds badass, but is it louder than the flow or magnaflow?

The magnaflow will be quieter while cruising.

I have longtubes, mufflex 4" ORY and catback with spintech muffler.
I also got a set of their optional oval tips that are no longer available. Best looking tips out there in my opinion. Absolutely the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard on a fbody. very deep sound and my favorite part is that there's no rasp. I can't stand to hear a raspy system. To me, if a car sounds raspy, the owner cut corners and the system is not flowing properly. If you like the raspy sound, go with small pipes and no muffler.

I currently have a mufflex 4" with a magnaflow round race muffler. When I first put it on Ididnt really care for the way it sounded under a load, sounded like a truck. (loud and cackley) Then I added a dynomax bullet inline as a resonator and it sounded much better. Im considering trying a spintech muffler. Does anybody have a clip of there spintech 4" muffler?

Do not buy the spintech muffler. They flow like complete crap, even in 4". I have the magnaflow version and love it. Had 3" duals before the Mufflex and will probably never run duals on a f-body again.
