Default hole in my throttle body blade

Can having two very large holes in my throttle body blade be causing my rpms to stay high coasting? I plugged the hole temporarily and they dropped to where they should be, but when I went to stop it tried to stall and I had to tap the gas to keep it running. Then on the way back to the house the rpms were staying around 1500-2000.

Drill simular holes ABOVE the shaft to see if it helps. Cain't hurt.

you shouldnt need those holes drilled in the blade. tuners used to do that to help with idle tuning, but a lot of the better tuners are capable of tuning without "damaging" the blades. and dependent on your current tune, those holes could be whats hurting you.

Yeah I'm thinking it could be what is causing by problems. I want to get it tuned again but don't want to have to pay for a new tb either.

that looks like a stock ported tb? you can get one without a hole in the blade on here for under $100 maybe it will idle better if you unhook the battery and let the maf relearn?

It is. That's a good price! I will have to try the battery thing. Isn't there some way to reset the tps by disconnecting it turning the battery on then off and reconnecting it?

I have a magic stick 4 cam. I have been told with proper tuning it shouldn't need to be done. The guy who tuned my car drilled the hole.

Yeah there's no reason to drill the TB blades anymore. If your tuner suggests this he's either lazy or ignorant to the new tuning software available and I would find another shop.
