Duals...
2.5 dual exhaust is the way to go if you intent to keep a with sensible sound levels as the dual 3" get much louder, in my case i have four mufflers, 2 rounds and two ovals Magnaflows, and they perform real good and sound great, just adds lots of wight, and yes i have dual 3", and 12.8 compression on e85 441Ci ls7 N-A, the beauty of 4 mufflers is at wide open throttle is really quiet, still, loud in iddle.

True duals would be a very good idea. Another suggestion would be to go with 3.5 if you can fit it with ground clearance. Ive got a blown 408 and i run 3.5 with extremly low restriction mufflers. Which is my suggestion number 2. those slps are pretty good but if you dont mind the noise, go with a thinly packed and smalll baffeled glasspack to reduce any possible backpressure. Also i agree with ^, keep what you got and add cutouts for the track. Prob solved!

That's cool and all except he doesn't have that. He does not have dual 3 inch pipes out the back, and doesn't have a single 4 inch out the back. He has a loudmouth, that's 1 three inch pipe. So that's his restriction, all the other crap in front of it doesn't matter. A 4 inch cutout after the merge solves the neck down issue here.
