Default Fast 92 Over LS6 Intake?

So is it worth buying a Fast 92 over keeping my LS6 intake? Or should I just wait & save up to get a Fast 102? What could I expect from power gains?

If you can get the 92 around 600 or lower go for it, otherwise get a 102. As far as gains expect midrange and peak close to if not more than 10

id pickup the fast if your going to cam and do heads, the 102 might be a tad to much unless your going for a super high reving cam

Because everyone is scared to run a 102 over a 92. I plan to put one on mine along with LS6 heads and a small cam. 102 will gain on even a stock motor even with a 102 TB. The TB size determines the CFM the motor gets, the runners and intake ports determine velocity. People need to stop thinking in terms of running a carb. 102 loses nothing down low and pulls away from everything else at 4k

From what I have read you have to grind the water pump or replace it with a LS2 pump when using a 102mm intake. For the extra 5hp I just can't justify doing either on my car.

It's when you use the 102 TB, if you use anything smaller it will clear

Pretty sure it's both since the neck of the FAST intake sticks past the casting seam of the water pump which is half way. So you'd either have to go electric, LS2 or grind away and take the chance of going through the WP wall which isn't very thick.

I've never heard people doing it with smaller TBs. And Tony Mamo over at AFR encourages people to brimstone the pump. Pretty sure he wouldn't give bad advice

I could be wrong...maybe someone with a 102 intake can chime in. I know on my 92 the neck on the intake sticks past the water pump and it's actually touching the top bolt on the water pump. I thought I was going to be forced to grind some off the bolt tab or intake but it just made it...and this is on a 92mm intake.

Nevermind....it looks like they shortened the neck on the 102's by a good couple inches so this wouldn't be an issue. It appears to only be a problem with the 102's like you said.
