Default True Duals ? w/ Magnaflow 6" Round Mufflers

Looking at these Magnaflow 6" x 18" round mufflers. If I can somehow make room for them how quiet (relatively) would they be in a true dual system? It seems like they have a big enough case to tone things down quite a bit. I will have a CME also. I'll have cutouts for 'loud' mode so I'm looking for something in 'quiet' mode that won't **** off the neighbors. Let me know what you think.

I wouldn't go any bigger than a 5" diameter, like a Magnaflow #12866, it'll do a surprisingly good job toning it down.

Ya, I'd like to do 5" but I wish they made one in an 18" case.

These are not going by the bumper, I'll be building a 'custom' system. I've heard 4 x 9s can be pretty quiet though.

Thanks. And take it from me they are quiet, I ran the borla equivalent. Also look up Mr Luos, they tamed his 402 quite a bit

POST PICS! when you are done with your custom system, I plan on running true duals with Magnaflow 4X14 rounds and would like to you what you come up with in your system

thanks

have heard some pretty quite true dual magnaflow setup, try and search under mr.luos he had a killer dual magnaflow setup on his ws6, think he has some pics in the true dual stickey as well, duals can be toned down alot just depends on how you go about doing it, running them all the way to a cme will help, could even do some smaller bullets before the bends of the cme

Thanks Bob. I was thinking about some bullets after the 'X' but I'd prefer not to. I'll check the Mr.Luos thread.

Thanks for the info guys. I looked at the Mr. Luos thread. It's hard to tell for sure in the video but that setup might be a little too loud for my taste, at least in 'quiet' mode. He's using 5 x 8s - probably the 14" case - but he's also got a 402 and a lot more camshaft than I have which will make it louder. I guess I have to look at some additional bullets, maybe I can add them after the primary mufflers. Tight squeeze for sure.

I'm pretty sure those are the same mufflers i have. They really are pretty tame at idle and part throttle but sound great WOT.

I have them dumped and i do remember they are much quieter cruising down the highway than my old flowmaster catback. That sum bitch droned loud as hell going down the highway at 75. These are much quieter cruisin down the road.
