Header hitting floorboard
So I've got a guy coming to buy my car on Saturday and I need to find a quick fix for this ASAP.
The driverside header is hitting the floorboard almost everytime i step on the gas in first gear (just first gear really). I'm not sure what's causing this, but it definitely started happening after I went over a speedbump and hit the exhaust a few months ago. Anyway, suggestions for a quick fix? Maybe a wedge between the header and the floorboard of some kind?

It could be a problem with the driver side engine mount, or it could be the exhaust. I'm not sure...

mine was hitting the trans cross member, it went away when i jacked it up because of the weight on the suspension was off of it. yea be straight up and tell him, best fix is to get a few custom pipes made into the y thats what I ended up doing.

It's actually the very beginning of the y-pipe that's hitting the floorboard.
Maybe I could bang out the floorboard a bit? or bad idea?

stick a piece of rubber in between the body and the y pipe would work for a while but it would fall out eventually, I would say motor mounts are worn out but you said you hit something that bent the exhaust. also maybe try a crowbar and try to bend it back correct again. ????

no poly mounts..
Good idea. I'll grab the parts on the way home. But won't the rubber melt/smoke from the heat?
