Default Intake Manifolds: FAST LSXR vs. Weiand Polished Aluminum

Debating on intake manifolds for my WS6. What's your guys take?

Right now I've been leaning towards FAST cause they seem to be the best out there, but I love that polished aluminum on the Weiand manifold also!

It sounds like all you need at this point is the ls6 intake manifold. Or if you really want. A ported ls2 might be in order. The fast 102 package is for more heads/cam people from what I've been reading. But that's just my thoughts others opinions may be different.

I would go with an LS6 intake for now. FAST should be your last mod. You better save your cash for a H/C swap and wait after for a FAST.

For your info, my ported FAST 92mm was good for 14rwhp with my H/C, which is good. But a cam for the money is wayyyy better, mod for mod.

I don't mean to thread-jack, but what's better? Ported ls2 intake or regular ls6?

Everybody on this board hates Alum. intakes lol. Its either Fast or LS6 here...but if you don't wanna pay the fast price just go w/ a LS6....

Yeah only down side to the ls6 intake is that it's what a 78mm so an 80mm should work on it. Only down side. However I'd look into ls2 intake really

LS2 intake is worse than the LS6.

Leave the intake you have on the car-port your throttle body

The ls6 is a great intake. I never bought into all the hype until I installed one

If you can afford the Fast 102, even on a stock car, its gonna be worth it in the long run, especially if you plan on modding further later on. Why spend money now on a different intake, if you think you might want the Fast later on,and waste money. spend the money one time on the right one, and be done with it.

Well the ls6 is good up until around 450rwh until it becomes a restriction. Even though I can afford a fast intake I could never in a millions years justify paying their crazy prices no matter how much money im making

I agree with this somewhat, however I have seen people make over 600rwhp on the LS6 intake. So with that said, even though there would likely be an increase in power, I don't think it would be worth the money for a H/C car, the LS6 will do just fine.
