Default H/C and fuel system

So I am about ready to do my heads and cam swap and have all my parts. I am curious to know if i should buy larger injectors to go with the set up to issure proper fuel and not run the motor lean or if the stock ones are good enough?

I'd go ahead and get a set of 36s or 42s depending on how far you plan on taking any future modifications. I'd also consider getting a racetronix 255 fuel pump kit.

the stock fuel pump is pretty decent up to 450rwhp or so. the stock fuel rail is fine up to about 600 from what i have read about it, but your injectors should be change after you hit 400rwhp. i have the FAST 36lb injectors (41.2lb @ 4 bar) and they are not even at 75% duty cycle.

fuel pump should definitely be changed for supercharger combined with heads and cam. but 36-42lb injectors will hold up to a good heads/cam combo but for blower/turbo you should start at 60lb injectors and go up from there.

Well blower or turbo won't be for awhile so no concern there yet. What do you think the best injectors to run are? Most are plug and play right? I'm new to the fuel game.

any time you change injectors you need a tune. if you dont then you will wash down your cylinder walls after a 100 miles or so and destroy your cats (if you run them) and your motor. i was so worried about this happening that i picked up a second fuel rail, installed my new injectors on there, and swaped them at the tunner.

My tuner is gonna be present before I even fire the motor after I do the heads and cam so i figured since I have to tear the motor apart it would be a good idea to swap the injectors. I was just curious to if its worth it to produce the power and for the future depending on other mods. So whats your suggestion on injectors then? Like best brand to run?

the ones my brother has is Delphi 39# injectors and he likes those, i have the 36# Fast injectors (actually 41.2 @ our psi) and i like those, still get great gas milage. so it is really your choice. i have heard the FAST injectors sometimes being a little off on flow but i got mine flow matched so i didnt have that problem.

Look into FIC - fuel injector connection. They can fix you up.

I think im going to go with a set of 42's. My friend has a brand new set with 1500 miles and he needs 60's for his new turbo build.
