highcomp with Bolt ons
Hi guys im currently running all bolt ons on my Ls1 and i want to get this thing to run as hard as i can without goin cam as i like to fly under the radar,now im thinking of shaving the heads 30-50 thou to bring the comp up to around 11-1 and running e85 to pump the timing in.Do you think ill be wasting my time and money??mods are 1 5/8 4-1s, twin 2 1/2 ,otr,3.9 gears,m6.

If you plan to pull the heads then i would say ditch the stockers and get a set off 243's or 799's (same thing). They flow way better then stock and will increase power as well. No need to mill them at all just swap them. Plus I would talk to your tuner you may need to bump the injector size to a set of 32's or bigger for the E85.

The heads would net you about 20 horse power or so. Then the e95 well idk how much youll net from that but im sure itll be quiet a bit. They do make mild cams that you can't even tell are in the car, 224r or something in that range would get you what you want and with a high lsa keeping the lobe some what stock you wont even hear it.
