Default Torquer V.2 guys come in!!!!!

Hey guys I'm still doing my fine tuning on my car. All my mods are in my sif to save some time and typing lol. But I'm curious to where you guys set your rev limiter and where you have your best luck with your power curve. I use Hptuners to tune the car. So any advise would be great.

No I don't have any cold start issues. My main issue is when coming to a stop once in awhile it wants to kill itself but its seldom.

If its dying at a stop you need to adjust the tune more.

I'm not sure what my limiter is set at but It seems like its time to shift around 6300. My car doesn't drop at red lights at all. Cold start isn't exactly perfect but it doesn't die or try to die its hard to explain, its like it has a not so noticeable stumble occasionally. The only thing I've noticed is at one certain throttle posistion I have the slightest amount of cam surge. You could pull out 100 times and 99 of them it would be like stock.

Yea the tune still needs some work that's forsure. When my guy gets back from kansas we will need to get into the computer more. So I was just trying to do some research on maybe rev limiter settings and any other advice you guys got.

Best way to determine that is to look at your dyno graph and shift right at or just before peak power. You need to have your shop tune the car on a cold engine, so he'll have to have it for a day or two to get it perfect. If he's doing that and it's been there 3 times I think I'd look for someone else to work on it.

When determining where to set your rev limiter, you need to consider the strength of your bottom end.

Yea I have no cold start issues with mine. Fires right up.

And its got a stock bottom end still. I just heard from a guy that has one that said you can really spin that cam. His rev limiter was at 7200.

IMO, with a stock bottom end set the rev limiter to around 6500rpm.

Sounds great. I will have to get it back tothe tuner and we'll have to go through the thing completely. Get a few hours of nothing but logs and tweak it perfectly.

hey tyler! for me my rev limiter is set at 6700 but Clint told me not to go past 6500. I will usually shift around 6200 anyway. Also seems like the cam hits harder after 3500rpms for me.. hope your tunning issues get resolved !

Yea mine feels that way for sure after 3500 its a rocket. But justy trying to tie up loose ends too. Me and my tuner haven't gotten a whole good session done on the tuning so that should take care of my problrms once we can do that. I've also had some minor issues I've been taking care of on the car too. Also delaying the process of getting it done.
