I'd imagine AEM to be significantly lower. I also agree they need to address the issue of the housing. It would be nice to not have to use weather stripping to seal the lid.
They are around $60 at the major sites. And considering they actually filter the air unlike k&n's and are free to clean it isn't a bad deal.

Oh no, not at all; I completely agree with you. It would be great though if AEM came in being a bit cheaper and sealed better than the K&N.

Nothing yet. I'm calling Scott tomorrow to see where we are and what the ETA is. I've already received confirmation the filters ARE being made.

Any word on them using the shitty fitting K&N mold or are they using a mold actually made to fit the lids?

^^noted^^

I'll update tomorrow after I call. I specifically asked for a taller sealing element around the filter media. I'm sick of weatherstripping the inside of my lid myself....

As it costs many tens of thousands of dollars to make a new injection mold, I'll bet they'll be using the same mold as their K&N version.

Personally, I'm OK with spending 10 bucks a year on a paper
filter given how little pressure drop they contribute.

Well, here it goes....

Got "the" email back today on pricing and whatnot. I'd include the attachment, but I'm tied to Mobile at the moment.

$115.13 for 1-9 orders, and $90.13 for 10-39 orders.

Aside from many personal factors, like being aggravated about them not taking the time to post on this thread, and the price given the OBVIOUS interest.... It looks like its just too much monetarily to stomach.

All I can say is I tried, I went to the top, and this is what I received back. Little ole me as an individual.

Any sponsors that want to pick up the ball and run with it.... At this point, it would be much appreciated.

Sorry guys for the price. I tried.
