Default lets see your homeade cai!

trying to get some ideas for a custom homemade intake... i have a billet grille so i was thinking to go straight down and have a huge filter right behind the grille so it would kind of give it a intercooler type look.... lets see your setups!

Keep the lid setup, seal it well, and add a good ram air scoop to force feed it.

I would kill to get a setup like that on my car. "Cold air" and cone filters and bends in the piping are not as good as the stock type "straight shot" of air. Just make it a straight shot of cooler air and you are in business.

^^^+1! Go with the Lid+Ram Air... Toss the custom CAI out the window. Lids gains. Dnt waste your time and money on something that probably will not gain as much ad a $90 lid

I tried to mock up a 9" cone filter on it, but it looks like too much trouble to make your own CAI. Considering the price for a new or used LID.

i already have a slp lid... car is a 383 with trickflows, fast, every bolt on... the hole 9... i was just debating going with the fast toys 98 lid and make my own ram air or just putting some pipe with a big filter would be better
