Also how old are your SLP headers? I know 5-6 years ago they were known to hang low, but even a couple of years ago SLP made a change to them so they weren't scraping every bump in the road like they used to.

please explain how an x pipe dumped is "true duals" when in fact you're not running stand alone dual pipes and more of slamming hot exhaust gases into each other as in say for example a "y" pipe. I understand an "x" pipe is two pipes but the pipes are welded together with open spacing in the middle specifically for these gases to turbulate and create a minimal back pressure outside of using a muffler or resonator. please correct me if im wrong. but thats my understanding...
they are the newer ones. they dont hang to low.. then again my car is at stock ride height and not lowered...yet...

Eye rolling aside, here's your correction.
That X doesn't create turbulence, nor does it cause turbulence. It promotes scavenging, same as a transition cone in a collector, coupled with a velocity spike.
You have to equal out the banks and make one bank pull (scavenge) from the other.
Good that you have the newer headers though. I'd personally get the TSP's and take them to a shop and have them fit. That way they can tweak here and there and get you the best ground clearance.

i agree with you partially dr. quick question aside from obvious but the tsp's... is it stainless or mild steel?
On the other hand how would there not be turbulance? hot gases traveling at high velocity slam into one another (at an angle yes) but still. I see your point about the almost simulated velocity spike but within those little pockets i would imagine some sort or variation in pressures and directional velocity though. then again i could just be analyzing too much and it could be alot simpler. oh well live and learn.. and im am far from an expert.. which is why i ask questions..
If it is mild steel and not stainless.. I just can see forking out almost $500 for lets say 12ft of 3' steel... ots not that expensive.. ya know

Yes, it is mild steel. I believe it was primarily made for racers, so weight savings was a part of initial design, IIRC.
If you're worried about price, when you sell your cats @120 (if you still have them) and your Magnaflow for 250 - 275 shipped, it's pretty much a wash, and you get to enjoy a MUCH cleaner sound, and some performance gains.
I've had a lot of different catbacks on the 5 different FBodies I've owned. After having TD's, I'll never again put a Y pipe on one of my cars.
