Replacing any part of your exhaust system with a non- CARB part is illegal in Ca. To double check look here http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...rmktdevice.php all you need to do is cross reference your exhaust part number to this list and it will tell you the CARB EO.

Yes true. You have to replace parts that are OEM/OEM like. Or parts that have a CARB, EO. http://www.arb.ca.gov/bluebook/bb12/...1_NEW_2485.htm. If the muffler is not OEM type (too loud), or has the EO, its a violation.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/bluebook/bb12/...ch_5_art_2.htm - lists the most up to date laws for the state.

Right because I don't live here and don't know the laws. The bassani TD system is 50 state legal and a dual system, explain that. As long as the noise regulations are met, its legal. Find me any catback with a CARB EO.

We dnt need everything to have CARB. I have the SLP y pipe on my 01 SS with Flow. And LM1 on my 00 SS.. Smog shop I go to has said nothing. Owner even told me he would pass my car even if I had DUALS. Aslong as they merge with a H or X pipe

I am all too familiar with the CARB laws as I spent some time in San Diego fighting to get my car legal on base. Even with out of state tags they didn't care, if I wanted to drive it on base I needed to pass the California laws. I referenced the laws/regulations as they were written. If you can find a smog shop/ station to pass your setup, more power to you. I definitely could not. Possibly because I was military, out of state, or someone saw a payday coming who knows. I feel were getting away from the OP question. I listed the 2012 exhaust parts that are currently legal for use in CA in my first reply. Hope you find what you are looking for in there.
