Default American racing longtubes and UMI K-member

I'm almost done installing my UMI K-member on my '00 SS and ran into a snag. One of the primaries on the driver's side is resting on one of the motor mount tubes, not allowing me to shift the k-member far enough to bolt it in place. I'm attributing this to my wonderfully fitting (extreme sarcasm) XS longtubes. My question is this has anyone had any similar fitment issues with 1 7/8" ARH longtubes and UMI k-member? I just need some reassurance that it will all bolt together nicely after laying down $1300 for a set of longtubes (albeit, a really nice looking set). Anyone else have this combo? A picture says a thousand words.

Honestly we have never had a header hit our k-member. I do know the Kooks 1 7/8 hit the steering linkage pretty bad. I hope that helps some.

I have the UMI K in my 99 and have no clearance issues with my LTs, not even close to the motor mount stands. However I am not running ARH on this particular car. Before dropping 1,300 bucks you might consider heating up those XS headers with a torch and hitting that primary with a block of wood/hammer. If you end up having to buy headers you may want to check with Texas Speed, they sell stainless 1 3/4 for 399.00 and 1 7/8s LTs for 499.00! I have ran ARH on previous cars, great fitment and no issues, however I will never spend that kind of money again for a set of LT headers.

10-4 guys.
I just placed my order for the ARH 1 7/8" longtubes with ORY to replace my crap XS longtubes. I'm not at home right now, so no pic available for the primary resting on the K-member. I'll see if I remember to snap a pic when I get back.
