Question Opinions on Duals w/o an X or H

Im running a 3" orx right now. Love the sound and performance I got from it, only problem is that it was the first one this particular shop had done, and I've got ground clearance issues. I know there are shops out there that can tuck an x pipe up so that you cant even see it, but Im not looking to drop $600 to get an extra inch or so of clearance. The idea I had was to do away with the junction all together and run straight pipes with a pair of bullets. What am I looking at loosing IF I did this; low end torque, backpressure...etc. Also, what kind of a difference in sound am I looking at. My guess is that it'll be even louder than it already is?!? Any help appreciated! Mods in sig.

id sell your setup and switch to a 2.5" with some crossover.

everything in performance will go down without some kind of equalizer

I would think it would have less scavenging and possibly louder with some more rasp. I love mine and the sound over others...the ground clearance is nice too

Will be a little bit louder but not much really. Will lose a little bit of power down low but I don't know. I have never see anyone dyno them against each other.

What a crossover does is it balances the backpressure for both sides of your V8, therefore allowing simetry in your cylinders.

If you're basically just running bullets off of each collector then dumped, it'll basically sound like a slightly quieter version of open headers.
