02' LS1 Intake Manifold Question... hey evgeryone i know that 02 camaro SS's were equipped with and ls6 intake manifold but were all of them or just a few? I just bought and 02 SS intake manifold on ebay fot 35$ and i was just checking to make sure.

Yeah... check that bottom side. Lots of earlier LS1 Vette manifolds w/o EGR have been passed off as LS6 manifolds. I guess if you got ripped, then $35 is a fairly cheap lesson to learn.

yeah but what about the egr thing?? well ill pay him either way its only 50$ and i can always sell it again for 50$... he has yet to answer me about the numbers so i dont know whats up with him. thanks everyone for your help!!

Dude, it's an LS1 intake. '98-2000 Fbodys had EGR, the fitting screwed into the brass threaded piece at the front of the intake. Once the F bods got the LS6 intake in 01-02 there was no longer EGR. You already have an LS1 intake, that is definately not an LS6. You won't be able to find an LS6 for 50 bucks shipped either.
It states that it is an LS1 intake, so I would say tell the buyer the situation and save your $$$.

so i ask this guy for pictures of the bottom or the casting numbers, and i said i want them before i send payment so i can verify that it really is from an 02 LS1. well he tells me that hes gonnna tell ebay that i refused to pay and leave me bad feedback. so i sent the payment and then asked him again and hes like well you should have asked questions before you bought it, and still has not sent me anything. then when i ask him a third time he tells me that he wont accept my money and that when he gets it hes sending it back and that im a bad person etc etc etc... and now he has relisted it as the same thing!!! Now what kind of BS is that... AND HE STILL WONT GIVE ME THE NUMBERS ON IT!!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY AND DO NOT BUY THAT INTAKE!!! I SERIOUSLY DONT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE ANYMORE...

heh..so many questions bout the LS6 intake in this forum...good for me though it's next on my list, and I don't really wanna dish out the cash for an SLP one cuz I'm blockin EGR off anyway
