Default Stainless steel headers vs Ceramic coated Stainless Headers

If Stainless Steel is supposed to be the cats meow when it comes to header material, why are some companies (ie SLP) ceramic coating its SS headers? According to Kooks and QTP,Stainless doesn't conduct the heat as much as medium steel so why coat them?

I just sent my stainless Kooks to Jet Hot for coating...I did it for looks and the added measure of heat insulation...was this necessary? No, but I wanted the absolute best setup I could get. So, appearance is probably the biggest factor when coating stainless.

Even though stainless is not as good a thermal conductor,
that doesn't do much to cut heat throw; the wall distance
is small and the area is large, and it's surface area dump to
air (convection) and surface area to radiate from that control
the heat loss. The coatings cut both of these surface effects
quite a bit.
