Default Fast intake problems please help

Hey Guys just installed my fast 78 and p&p tb. I have not got it tuned for that yet but anyways I started it up and it idles around 1000-1000 and when I rev it it will hold 1800 for a second then drop back down. And buy the time I got home it through a code p0507. I'm using a jet tuner until I get my pcmforless back. So do you think this is a vacuum leak? Or a tuning problem? This is my daily driver and my baby haha so I hope this can't cause damage. But if anyone could help me out that would be awesome

I would check for a vaccum leak, make sure the throttle body is closing properly/cable not binding. Also iac can cause this. But since you had the intake off I bet it's a vaccum leak. Hose or intake gasket. Throttle body gasket seen that before haha.

Alright thanks for the quick reply I really hope I can figure this out...I reply don't want to pul the intake again, I tried doing everything as legit as possible...I will just have to check for leaks again. What does the small intake nipple do on the side of the fast intake? I know that one wasn't where the stock one was but I routed it and it seemed to fit. And what side is best to get behind the intake? Thanks

that small nipple should go to your brake booster, make sure it's attached.

An easy way to check for vac leaks is to spray throttle body cleaner, carb cleaner ect around the intake. When you find the leak the engine with rev.

I know the one side goes to the booster, that's hooked up. What does the other side go to? I have it hooked up but maybe when I moved it it ce undone or broke? I thought I read somewhere it should be for hvac controls, and My heat controls work?

Also my manifold pressure at idle is 32.0 kpa, long fuel trim 2 10.16, short 2 is 1.56 to -0.78

Long term trim 1 9.37%. Short term trim 1 is 1.56% to -.078%

Anyone else got anything? I fixed the hvac and it stopped whistling and the rpms went down a little. So I assume I fixed the leak...I'm swapping back to stock tb and see if that helps

Check the vacuum lines behind the intake manifold, by the firewall. Odds are that it started to rot, and when you swapped the intake, you hit it, and it fell apart. Take a look at the first pic in post 5: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ke-listen.html

Are you talking about the little black line? I do believe it goes to the tranny if I'm not mistaken I assume you have an a4?

Well I fixed all my PVC in the back and those were rotted out. I don't know how to monitor my iac I just have a jet programmer until I get my tune back. And I fixed the problem my leak was coming from where the hvac lines met to the intake and my idle was high because the throttle body I got was drilled out in the middle. So thanks for the replies hopefully I don't have any more vacuum leaks!!
