Plenty of options for you. If you just want to stick to simple bolt ons, you could do a lid and ported throttle body, or a ram air kit. Since you're an a4 you could do a high stall torque converter and trans cooler. Or just skip ahead to heads and cam.

Personally I'd suggest the high stall torque converter next.

but general consensus on here is a good 3600 for good gains and drivability (some say 4000, but I have not riden in one with that) GL

With your 3.73 gears, a 4000 stall would drive better than my 4000 stall does on 3.23s, but it depends on what you want to do with the car. If nitrous is in your future, I'd do a 3600. I love how my car leaves like a monster at WOT with the 4000, but the driveability isn't as good. I only got a 4000 because I'm planning on doing 3.73s and a semi-aggressive cam.

4k stall, true dual with X pipe exhaust could be considered cam, heads, and intake manifold also

You can always clean up under the engine too...... Whole bunch of stuff that can be moved or deleted under there to clean it up.

I would definitely go for a stall first.
