So we pulled the Flowmaster out of the Mufflex 4" today and swapped it with a much lighter straight through Magnaflow muffler. Not only did the Magnaflow make a nearly 10rwhp peak gain, it was also 7db quieter than the Flowmaster! No more drone!

Flows sound great, but are **** for performance. The numbers don't lie, Flowmaster cross-flow mufflers suck

The Mufflex doesn't come with a cross-flow, it's a Flowmaster race muffler.

I don't like flowmasters either...and magnaflow is my favorite for the f-body, I'm going to upgrade to the catback eventually...right now I just have a cutout and magnaflow muffler hehe

The point of a forum isn't for your own use, it's so that if someone has a problem, question, etc. they can go onto the forum and into the knowledge base and find what they are looking for. Don't delete your threads, that's just silly.

flowmaster on a all stock car sounds great... magnaflow with all the neccessary bolt-ons sounds better with all the air you can give it...performance wise....I don't think HALF the people care on the performance aspect of a catback. We listen to sound clips for what sound effect suits your needs...hardly the hp gains... I know I would chose a catback that sounds awesome over one that might give me a couple more horses...so either..theirs never the right answer
